Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis Taylor, a American actress and screen actor and producer. She is most famous as a film actress due to her role in Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) and The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in African-American Studies at Brown University, and a Master in Fine Arts in acting from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue is an actor in the theater and film as well as a producer. She began her acting career with theater, and was later featured in numerous television series and independent and mainstream films. The actress gained fame as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and also appeared in BET's acclaimed show The Book of Negroes for which she won praise from critics but also several nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Film. Her professional acting debut in the role of Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. Her stage credits are Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production by Joe Turner. In her film career, she is most well-known for her appearances in films such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. The role she played as a regular on ABC's drama-police series High Incident earned her praises.
