Awkwafina
American actor and musician Awkwafina began her career with hilarious songs that dealt with sexuality and racial identities with a the most outrageous comedy perspective prior to expanding her reach into Hollywood. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese as well as Korean parents in Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was her first instrument. After a classical and jazz education, she delved into hip-hop as a teen. At college, she was studying journalism and women's studies. She even spent some time learning Mandarin during her time in Beijing. She didn't start focusing on music until she graduated. Her track in 2012 My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success on the Internet before settling on her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014. It also included other popular hits, including the body positive Queef and winking hometown tour NYC Bitche$1. The last track was linked directly to Awkwafina's NYC travel guide released in the year 2015. After having a great career as a musician and songwriter, she chose to assume the character of actress. In addition to early shows like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in movies such as Neighbors to Storks. Her breakout role was in Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. This June, she released her EP "In Fina We Trust".
